As per LA Times, Daniel Elena-Lopez was sentenced to 2 years in state prison.
He was convicted of car theft, carrying a loaded gun in public, and carrying a firearm as a felon. In 2020, he pleaded guilty to domestic battery and running away from the police.
If Daniel was alive, he would have faced more charges for assaulting people with a weapon in the broad daylight. But he passed away after a gunshot struck his chest.
As of now, Elena-Lopez has perished and laid on a deathbed.
