The reappearance of Waterston, the noble face of “Law & Order,” brings this homecoming full circle. After resuming his job as District Attorney Jack McCoy, Waterston, 81, appeared to have never left the premises.

Anthony Anderson (as Det. Kevin Bernard) and a cast of newbies, including Camryn Manheim, Jeffrey Donovan, and Hugh Dancy, join Waterston in the cast.

While the other person says he has recently learned that Waterston had a mild stroke two years ago, although he was not sure where. He wonders why the show would cast him if the actor had such neurological issues in such a significant role.
