Edgar Ivan Galindo was detained on Tuesday in a hit-and-run ATV collision that killed a small boy and girl.
Edgar, an Apple Valley resident, is the registered owner of the 2021 Polaris RZR, recognized as the vehicle involved in the July 2nd collision. During the investigation, CHP discovered the ATV at Galindo Diaz’s home in Apple Valley.
The prime suspect of the case, Edgar Galindo Diaz, was arrested by California Highway Patrol detectives on Tuesday. Based on the investigation, a warrant report was presented against Edgar.

On July 12th, Edgar surrendered to the police at the California Highway Patrol, who was then apprehended and charged with a felony hit and run case.
On a Saturday night, Edgar’s presence ATV reportedly struck two best friends, Jacob Martinez and Christina Bird, 12 and 11 years of age.
Jacob was announced dead on the spot, but Christina was taken off life support at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital on Wednesday after doctors declared her brain dead.

According to the official report, Edgar was detained by the California Highway Patrol on a suspicious felony hit and run case.
After the incident became viral on mainstream, Edgar surrendered himself to the police department on July 12th. The CHP and the District Attorney’s Office will collaborate to ensure proper charges of the culprit arrested in the case.

The investigation is still going on, and Edgar is under police custody. Once all the investigations are over, they are turned to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office.

At 9:28 p.m, Jacob Victor Martinez of Moreno Valley was declared dead on the scene. His best friend, Christina, was rushed to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
However, the doctors declared her brain dead the following day of the accident. Jacob’s aunt told NBC Los Angeles that life-saving procedures were applied, but it was of no cost.
Social media has condolences for the two beautiful souls who left the world pretty soon.
