Thomas was reportedly Ellie’s first boyfriend. They dated for three months before she ended the relationship because she felt it was inappropriate for her studies.

Ellie told her friends the day before her murder that Thomas had not taken their split well. Furthermore, she didn’t like the fact that he was staring at her.

Thomas’ mother dropped him off at school on May 3, 2019. However, the adolescent informed his teachers via email that he was ill and would be absent.

He then returned home by bus from the Chippenham bus station. His mother, on the other hand, had returned home.

According to reports, Thomas hid in his bedroom wardrobe so his mother wouldn’t notice him. He drove to Ellie’s house in a silver Ford Focus after she had left the house.

Former couples lived nearby in Derry Hill, Wiltshire, according to a report. After some arguing, Thomas strangled her and then stabbed her 13 times in the neck.

He left the house with a knife from his kitchen, clothes to clean up the crime scene, and a plastic bag to dispose of the evidence. He unlocked Ellie’s phone with her finger after murdering her and texted her friend not to pick her up.

Thomas later informed his friends that he would be taking a break with Ellie. And, from his phone, he texted her to see if they could meet.

A neighbor noticed him walking through the woods before returning to the school, where his mother picked him up. Ellie’s father discovered her body in the kitchen around 3 p.m.

Ellie Gould’s murder story has been told in two documentaries.
