“She is a young lady who is calm, nice, and compassionate. She made several attempts to assist Mr. Roy in his fight with depression.
We are confident that once all of the facts are revealed, our daughter will be found not guilty.”
Her father, David even sent a touching letter to Juvenile Court Judge Lawrence Moniz, pleading with him to be kind to Carter.
“I beg to God you would take into consideration that Michelle was a disturbed, sensitive adolescent. She was in a very tough circumstance when she committed a sad mistake,” David said in a letter to Moniz acquired by the Boston Herald in 2017.
“I am 100 percent certain she was simply trying to do what she thought was best for Conrad,” he concluded. She will be haunted by what she has done for the rest of her life, and I know she will be a better person as a result of it.”
David also revealed that it may be the result of the medication that she was taking which make it impossible for her to discriminate between good and evil.
