The Mexican-born socialite forced to slam ‘malicious’ rumours of an affair with Prince Frederik of Denmark begged Spanish press days before they were pictured together in Madrid to ‘Find me a boyfriend’.
Actress Genoveva Casanova, 47, admitted: ‘I’ve been alone now for nearly eight years’.
She added: ‘I have met people but my number one demand at the moment, and it has been for a while now, is that there’s love – we really love each other.
‘What you value most in life is that someone loves you’.
Before confessing to looking for love the stunning blonde joked: ‘I need to drink more tequila, I need more parties’.

Speaking to Spanish press as she attended an event in Madrid on October 19, six days before her Madrid outing with 55-year-old Frederik, the stunning blonde insisted: ‘I’m the most boring woman’ and allegedly begged reporters: ‘Find me someone now please’.
While the glamorous socialite insists she’s been single for just short of a decade, the rumor mill has been awash with news of ex-flames, as recently as last year.
Following the end of her two-year marriage to actor Cayetano Martínez de Irujo, 60, in 2008, the divorcee has also been linked to Mexican singer Luis Miguel, although the pair never confirmed if they were in a relationship.
She was also paired with Gonzalo Vargas Llosa, a Senior Policy Adviser with the UNHCR before coupling up with Spain’s former Minister of Justice, José María Michavila after the death of his wife.
And tailing her most recent romance with agricultural businessman José Manuel Gayán Pacheco last year, is perhaps her most controversial affair of all – an alleged romance with a Danish royal.
Yesterday, Genoveva’s lawyers put out a hard-hitting statement refuting she was in a romantic relationship with Prince Frederik after the photos of them together in Madrid were published by Spanish magazine Lecturas.
They enjoyed a stroll through Retiro Park in Madrid after visiting an exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum before heading to a nearby Michelin-starred restaurant called El Corral de la Moreria the same evening for dinner.
Frederick, who was without his wife of 19 years Crown Princess Mary, is understood to have left Spain the following morning after being taken to the airport in an embassy car.

Divorcee Genoveva’s attempts to shut down speculation about her relationship with the father-of-four failed to materialise today after it emerged she had jetted to Denmark shortly before their Madrid meeting.
She attended American country music singer and songwriter Luke Combs’ October 4 concert in the capital Copenhagen and visited the National Museum of Denmark, the country’s largest museum of cultural history.
Genoveva, whose ex-husband Cayetano Martinez de Irujo is one of the five sons of late mega-rich aristocrat the Duchess of Alba, wrote alongside snaps she posted on October 6 of her trip: ‘Incredible Copenhagen.
‘I have been at the concert of @lukecombs giving it my all and getting to know the collection of articles my great-grandfather donated to the National Museum.
‘He bought them personally in his boats across the Atlantic as the travel and adventure enthusiast he was. Now I know where my character comes from’.
She used a laughing emoticon to finish her message to her 67,500 Instagram fans, posted alongside photos of some of the museum exhibits and a local meditating bare-chested in a park as well as selfies of her at the packed Luke Combs concert and beside one of Copenhagen’s famous canals.
Hola! reported today Genoveva, who has been based in Spain for nearly 25 years and was a recent contestant on Spanish TV series Masterchef Celebrity, had travelled to Denmark with her 22-year-old son Luis.
She turned 47 yesterday, but reportedly left her home in an upmarket neighbourhood of Madrid near to Retiro Park before her birthday after being forced to address rumours of an affair with Prince Frederick.
She is known to enjoy summer holidays at a palace in the Basque Country city of San Sebastian owned by her ex-husband, but her whereabouts are currently unknown.
The ex-couple were married from 2005 to 2007, and share two children together.
The Spanish author and actor is one of the five sons of the late Duchess of Alba, who was worth an estimated £2.2billion, and was one of Europe’s wealthiest aristocrats and a direct royal descent from King James II of England.
They divorced in 2008 but have maintained a friendly relationship and she’s said that they still speak every day.
Her romance denial allegations came as Spain’s King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia met Prince Frederik and his wife during the third day of their state visit to Denmark.
The divorcee recently told Spanish reporters she’d been single for eight years, despite being linked to a string of ex-flames
Genoveva is a regular on the reality TV circuit and has appeared in Spain’s version of popular cooking show Masterchef
She met Prince Charles in 2012 at an even to celebrate Spanish tile brand Porcelanosa, which holds a Royal Warrant
Australian-born Crown Prince Mary, the 51-year-old future Queen of Denmark, maintained a passive expression during the royal visit to Copenhagen’s Centre for Danish Architecture.
Genoveva, told Hola! before her lawyer issued a statement denying the romance rumours: ‘I categorically deny the claims suggesting a romantic relationship between me and Prince Frederik.
‘Any claim of this sort is not only completely false but also misrepresents the facts in a malicious manner.
‘This is already in the hands of my lawyer, who will take the appropriate steps to protect my right to honour, truth and privacy’.
The Spanish magazine had previously reported Prince Frederik had asked Genoveva to accompany him to see an exhibition at the Madrid museum they visited after a friend dropped out at the last minute because of illness.
The future King of Denmark and his wife met in Australia during the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
Mary Donaldson, then a 28-year-old advertising executive from Tasmania, had no idea of the real identity of the handsome European tourist she had been chatting to for hours.
They announced their engagement at Amalienborg Castle on October 8 2023.
The couple share four children Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16, and twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, 12.
