Taylor Swift fans are taking desperate measures to hear the pop star live.

As thousands of Swifties missed out on tickets to the Australian leg of her Eras tour next year, dedicated fans in the US who were also unlucky went the extra lengths to listen to her three-hour concert. 

Incredible footage has resurfaced from the Anti Hero singer’s concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 14, showing thousands of fans listening to her from the car park outside the venue.

In the clip, shared to TikTok, a sea of fans swarmed the Lincoln Financial Field’s parking lot.

As Swift, who hails from Pennsylvania, performs her smash hit Blank Space to a sold-out crowd of approximately 70,000, several others sing and dance outside the stadium.

According to reports at the time, fans camped out in several car parks surrounding the stadium.

Meanwhile, general admission tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne dates of Taylor Swift‘s Australian Eras tour sold out in just hours on Friday, after two pre-sales broke the internet earlier in the week.

Only VIP and Hotel + Ticket Packages remain across all shows Down Under.

Frontier touring made the announcement around midday on Twitter, writing: ‘A-G Reserve now allocation exhausted. VIP and Hotel + Ticket Packages remain across all Sydney shows!’

They made a similar announcement about the Melbourne shows.  

While thousands of Aussie fans queued up online for tickets on Friday morning, others decided to camp outside of Ticketek offices ‘because it’s easier than buying them online.’ 

The Speak Now songstress was forced to add the extra dates after millions of eager fans missed out on tickets during pre-sale.

Swift announced a third Melbourne show at the MCG on February 18 next year and a fourth Sydney concert at Accor Stadium on February 26 as part of The Eras Tour. 

The Grammy award-winning star will become the first artist since Madonna to perform three consecutive concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground when she takes the stage in February next year, and the first ever to play a fourth straight show at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

The new gigs are in addition to the existing Melbourne concerts on February 16 and 17 and Sydney shows on February 23, 24, 25.

On Friday, frantic fans took to social media to tweet Ticketek and beg for seats to one of the shows.

‘This is becoming an obsession. I feel like a stalker!’ wrote one fan.

One cash-strapped fan wrote, ‘How much are bookings/service fees per ticket? Need to make sure enough in account?’ 

Other fans camped outside the Ticketek offices in a bid to beat the online queues.

‘Still 3 hours until the box office opens, but the vibes are immaculate,’ Swift superfan Bec Sammut said in a viral TikTok video as she waited outside in the dead of winter.

‘Camping overnight at the Ticketek office for Taylor Swift tickets because that’s legitimately easier than getting them online,’ she wrote.

It comes after thousands of Aussie Swifties had a meltdown when they tried to score a seat to her concerts next year during Frontier’s Touring second pre-sale via Ticketek earlier this week.
