Hurler Pat Ryan Limerick, an Irish hurler for Doon, is arrested for headbutting a Tipperary opponent.
Patrick Ryan joined the Doon club at a young age and went on to win championships in the under-12, under-14, and under-15 divisions.
Patrick won back-to-back championship gold medals as a member of the club’s minor squad in 2012 and 2013, defeating Na Piarsaigh and Patrickswell. Patrick later made his senior competition debut for his club.

The incident between the players erupted around 12.30 a.m. on Monday in a well-known Limerick city bar, only hours after the two counties met in a heated Munster Championship encounter.
According to the Independent, a senior Limerick hurling panel member was detained following an argument in a pub during which a Tipperary hurler was reportedly headbutted.
Tipperary had led for most of the game, but the defending All Ireland champions put up an amazing last ten minutes to win the game.
The Irish Independent reports that tempers rose between two rival team players in a Limerick pub later that night.
Pat Ryan Assault Charges & Jail Sentence
Pat Ryan was arrested and taken to Henry Street Garda Station following an incident with a Tipperary hurler in a pub. Ryan was interviewed before being released without charge on Monday.
A file will be created for the Director of Public Prosecutions to decide whether or not to pursue the case. It is unclear whether the Tipperary player required hospitalization following the event.

It is known that no official complaint has been made to gardai in connection with the occurrence.
Following inquiries from the Irish Independent, Limerick GAA issued the following statement: “On Sunday night last, a member of the Limerick Senior Hurling squad was involved in violating our team protocols.”
Who Is Hurler Pat Ryan Limerick?
Patrick Ryan, born in 1995, is an Irish hurler who plays for club side Doon and at the inter-county level for Limerick senior hurling team.
Patrick was a member of the University of Limerick’s senior hurling team while studying there. On February 24, 2018, Patrick received a Fitzgibbon Cup medal as UL defeated Dublin City University in the final, 2-21 to 2-15.
Pat made his senior debut for Limerick on February 12, 2017, in a 1-14 to 0-14 National Hurling League defeat to Wexford. He was a non-playing replacement when Limerick won their first All-Ireland title in 45 years, defeating Galway 3-16 to 2-18 in the final on August 19, 2018.
Patrick received a Munster Championship medal as a non-playing replacement when Limerick defeated Tipperary in the final by 2-26 to 2-14 on June 30, 2019.
