Marcus Greenlee: Who Is He? DeAndre Hopkins’ Brothers and Sister

NFL standout DeAndre Hopkins has three siblings. He has two sisters and a brother named Marcus Greenlee.

In addition to his parents, the 30-year-old Cardinals wide receiver has two sisters and one brother. He comes from a sports family, and all three of his siblings are involved in sports. His mother had a prior relationship, resulting in his two siblings named Kesha and Marcus.

Kesha Smith, his elder sister, attended and graduated from Southern Wesleyan University. She relocated to Houston in 2014, and since then, she has been working as a basketball coach and playing tight end for the Houston Energy of the Independent Women’s Football League.

Similarly, his younger sister, Shanterria Cobb, is also engaged with basketball and plays basketball at Texas Southern University; she put her name on a letter of intent in the spring of 2016 to attend that school. She was named to the all-region basketball team at D.W. three times during her career at Daniel High School.

Marcus Greenlee, his older brother, was a standout basketball and football player in high school. He, like his sister Shanterria, attended Daniel High School and briefly attended Georgia Military College.

Even though they love each other to the depths of their being, the two brothers are not genetically related. He was made possible by the fact that he was conceived as a result of his mother Sabrina Greenlee’s previous relationships.

Marcus was raised by his single mother and his three siblings. Harris Steve Hopkins, his stepfather, died in an automobile accident on I-85 when he was a toddler. As a result, he grew up without his birth father and stepfather.

Marcus Greenlee is around the same age as his half-brother DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins is 30 years old.

They seem to be the same age and have a striking resemblance in terms of looks and age, even though very little information on Greenlee and his early life has been made public.

Marcus and DeAndre are the brothers of separate fathers, yet to the untrained eye, they might easily be mistaken for identical twins. This is the assumption that many people make when they see them for the first time.

The height difference between the two of them is another noticeable similarity they have in common. It is still unclear how tall Marcus is; nonetheless, many believe the two brothers are of comparable height to one another. Since Hopkins, a star of the National Football League is 6 feet and 1 inch (185 cm) in height, his stepbrother Marcus must be around the same height or slightly shorter.

His mother, Sabrina Greenlee, with his relationship with an unknown man, gave birth to him and his sister Kesha Smith. Later his mother married Hopkins’s father, Harris Steve Hopkins, who unfortunately passed away when he was around five years of age.

In 2002, when Marcus was around ten years old, his mother became a chemical attack victim. Savannah Grant attacked Sabrina Greenlee with a boiling mixture of lye and bleach while she was on the ground.

Greenlee sustained burns to around a quarter of her body. Her assailant was found guilty of assault and battery with the intent to murder and got a sentence of twenty years in prison for his actions. Since 2003, she has been confined to a jail or other correctional facility. As a direct consequence of what happened, Marcus’ mother is now totally unable to see anything.

Marcus Greenlee grew up with his brother and two sisters in South Carolina. His ethnicity is African-American.

He received his upbringing from his mother, Sabrina Greenlee, who was a single parent throughout his childhood and with whom he has a close connection. During his childhood, she maintained not one but two occupations, one of which was working in automobile manufacturing.

Her mother, Sabrina, has never brought up Marcus’s father, and as a result, both his identity and the name of his biological father remain a secret.

Meanwhile, his stepfather Harris Steve Hopkins, passed away in a vehicle accident on Interstate 85 when he was just a toddler, leaving his mother to raise him and his three siblings on her own.

The vehicle accident that took place in November 1992 took place as DeAndre’s parents were driving back to their home in Georgia after spending time in Atlanta with other family members.

After making a curve on the rain-soaked road, the Ford Mustang GTS driven by the older Hopkins hydroplaned and flipped three times before hitting a railing on the driver’s side. In contrast to Marcus’s mother, who walked away from the incident with just superficial wounds and a concussion, Hopkins passed away eight days after the incident due to the effects of his injuries.

On the other hand, Marcus is a Christian. He attended church regularly with his mother when he was growing up and was baptized when Marcus was in high school when he was a freshman there.

Marcus Greenlee was born in South Carolina and spent his entire childhood living with his mother and siblings.

However, the answer to where he is now is not known. But it is highly likely Marcus still lives in Clemson, South Carolina. Growing up in a family of five, he did not have a sound childhood.

He received his secondary education at D. W. Daniel High School in Central, South Carolina. While there, he participated in extracurricular activities such as football, basketball, and track, and field for the school’s varsity Lions sporting teams.

His brother DeAndre Hopkin is now playing in the National Football League with the Arizona Cardinals, to whom he has sworn allegiance. Both of the brothers participated on the same collegiate football team.
