Who Is Robert Rinder Strictly Come Dancing Partner Oksana Platero?

Robert Rinder was partnered with Oksana Platero in Strictly Come Dancing in 2016. She is a Ukrainian-born professional dancer. 

She began her dancing career as a Latin and ballroom dancer with Artem Plakhotnyi and then Igor Kantsedal. Then, she started working with Aleksandr Altukhov in 2004. When she was 18, the duo competed for Ukraine before moving to the United States.

On season 12 of Dancing with the Stars, Oksana was a member of the first “Troupe. She stayed with the ensemble for five more seasons until season 16. She performed with Ballroom with a Twist after quitting Dancing with the Stars.

She has also choreographed for the television show So You Think You Can Dance. In 2016, she joined Series 14 of Strictly Come Dancing by the BBC. She was teamed with Robert “Judge” Rinder, a television celebrity and a barrister.

They were eliminated in the Quarterfinals and placed fifth overall. She confirmed his departure from Strictly Come Dancing after one series on June 21, 2017.

Robert Rinder found the family of Oksana Platero, who fled Ukraine after the Russian invasion. It has been a week since he searched for them on the Polish border. 

He has fulfilled his promise and helped Oksana find her family. The barrister shared the picture of her family on his Twitter. He went there with medical supplies and a wheelchair, writes The Guardian. 

The dancer quickly thanked him through her IG handle. She also added that the world needs people like him. She was grateful for what he had done for her in these difficult times. 

Robert Rinder has a verified Instagram account with 78.8k followers. He is recently uploading the images from the refugee camp on the Ukraine border. His last upload was of ex-British army medic personnel, who had been training the Ukrainian forces for the war trauma.
