The 32-year-old Anderson was found wounded by a gunshot at XTC Cabaret, which is situated in the 8500 block of North Stemmons Freeway, at around 5:10 a.m. on Saturday. She was taken to the hospital, but sadly she did not make it through her stay.
She has not been identified by the police, and the department has stated that the case has been sent to a grand jury for further investigation. The Public Integrity Unit of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office will be responsible for conducting an impartial investigation into the matter.
The reasons for the arrest of one of the security guards and the referral of the case against the other guard to a grand jury have not been disclosed by the police.

According to the police, Sterlin Hammett, who is 30 years old, was arrested and booked into the Dallas County jail on three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the death of Shalonda Anderson. The amount of his bail has not been determined, and it is unknown whether he has a lawyer representing him.
After being struck by Anderson’s vehicle, a security guard with the club who was 26 years old opened fire on Anderson, according to the police and the club.
According to the police, Hammett is believed to have fired shots at Anderson’s vehicle as she drove into a group of people while he was standing nearby. He is the second security officer that the police have pointed the finger of suspicion at as being involved.
The club claimed that the security officer was trapped between a car and a van and released a three-second video from the club’s security camera showing a group of people attempting to jump out of the way of a car that was driving toward them. It appears that one of the people was reaching for a gun just before they were struck by the car.

Shalonda Anderson, who was 32 years old at the time, was found by the police at the scene with a gunshot wound. According to the police, she was taken to a nearby hospital after being injured, but there she succumbed to her injuries and died.
