A victim has allegedly had his teeth ripped out after being held captive for five days with heavily-armed police finally storming the home to rescue him.

NSW Police and tactical officers stormed the property on the corner of Chelmsford Avenue, Belmore, in Sydney‘s southwest, on Tuesday night.

The man held against his will inside the home is believed to be the relative of a person suspected of being involved in a drug deal gone wrong.

He was imprisoned inside the Belmore home and allegedly tortured for five days before he was rescued by police just after 6pm on Tuesday night.

In footage from a police operation on Monday, heavily armed officers are seen throwing flash grenades into the home as loud bangs are heard.

Dozens of tactical officers also attended the scene on Tuesday armed with dogs, grenades, firearms and an armoured truck labelled ‘rescue vehicle’.

NSW Police said six men were arrested overnight in relation to the kidnapping.

‘Six people have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation by the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad,’ police said on Wednesday.

‘Two were taken to Granville Police Station and a further four to Campsie Police Station, where they are assisting police with their inquiries.’

More to come.
