Mother-of-two Letizia looked typically chic in a black, midi length frock with a boat neck, and minimalist floral print featuring green stems and gold flowers.

The royal kept her look simple and stylish, accessorising the dress with black heeled pumps, and a gold clutch bag.

She wore her dark, brunette tresses loose, and opted for a glamorous make-up look, with a dewy base, peach blush, nude pink lip, and brown smokey eye.

Meanwhile, her husband King Felipe looked equally dapper, in a navy, two-piece pinstripe suit.

Musician Bad Gyal picked up the 4th Vanguard Award ‘International Young Talent’, which was given for her ‘transgressive spirit, her charismatic personality and because she has become one of the female icons of Latin dancehall and trap music’.

Finally, the 5th Vanguard ‘Culture’ Award was presented to painter Lita Cabellut ‘for her unique creative universe, for having made her technique a personal stamp, and for being, today, one of the most sought-after painters in the world’.

Her appearance marks a busy week for the royal as she was spotted kicking off the school year in Santiago de Compostela last week Monday.

As usual, the Queen showed off her chic sense of style in a strikingly bold, yet elegant ensemble as she visited the school in north west Spain.

The Queen wore a Parisian-style striped white and navy top which had three-quarter-length sleeves and a high neckline.

And while Letizia normally wears her locks down, it seems she wanted to switch up her hairstyle.

She instead wore her hair in a low ponytail and parted her brunette tresses, slicking some some hair to the side.

Letizia visited the CEIP Plurilingüe do Camiño Inglés school, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

The director of the centre, Francisco Ávila, said he viewed the visit from the Queen as ‘a unique opportunity’ to highlight the work carried out by the centre, local media La Vanguardia reported.

The royal smiled as she walked around the building, accompanied by officials such as the Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría, the president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, and the president of the Parliament of Galicia, Miguel Ángel Santalices.

Letizia tucked the top into a pair of smart navy suit trousers and opted to wear a belt, which cinched in her waist.

The former journalist finished her look by wearing a pair of Carrie Blue Suede Sling Back heels from Isabel Abdo.
