On Tuesday, a group of enraged students protesting Odeyemi’s death blocked the UPTH’s entrance gate.
The enraged youths claimed that Odeyemi, an asthmatic patient, died as a result of the alleged negligence of the nurses on duty at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Ward.
Yemitheplug’s uncle announced his death on his official Facebook page, according to the statement.

The Port Harcourt social media influencer was suffering from asthma when neighbors noticed him struggling to breathe and rushed him to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, Nov. 29.
However, they claim that medical personnel ignored him. According to reports, a nurse at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital requested an ID rather than addressing the immediate problem.

Yemi tragically passed away at the hospital. His passing caused outrage, and a group of irate teenagers stopped the entrance to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital while demanding an explanation.
