According to police reports, a landlord has been charged with two counts of murder following a standoff in Biddeford. Two teenagers were killed in the incident, and the mother of one of the teens was hospitalized with a gunshot wound.

A man murdered two teenagers, Derrick Thompson Maine and Alivia Welch, inside their apartment while having an argument with them about late rent, snow shoveling, and parking.
According to Holmquist, Thompson’s mother, Susan Johnson, was also gunned down and taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she is safe.
Biddeford police initially received a call to 17A Sodokis Road at around 6 p.m. to check into a report of a discussion between Pak and Thompson.
The officers left before 7 p.m. after finding out that no crime had been carried out and Pak had made no severe warnings, the sergeant said.
Soon after three minutes, the officers were called again by Susan Johnson. She reported that shots had been fired.
Where Is James Pak Now?
James Pak is serving a life sentence for the December 2012 murders of Derrick Thompson and his girlfriend, Alivia Welch. He was also charged with shooting Thompson’s mother, Susan Stevens.
James Pak, who owns and resides in the two-unit Cape Cod-style house, has been charged with two counts of murder. He could also face additional charges after the state Attorney General’s Office analyzes the case.
He went into the apartment attached to his home and told the tenants he would kill them before following through on his threat.
Andrew Lemelin, who resides across the street from the Pak home, stated that Pak was known for getting aggressive with his neighbors in the neighborhood.
Pak is a stone mason and the landowner of Korean Yankee Landscape in Biddeford. Last year, a federal judge pronounced the officers not answerable for Pak’s crimes and dismissed the lawsuit.
