Thomas Randele, a wanted bank robber, died in May of 2021. The robber, who was featured on “America’s Most Wanted,” worked as a banker. Kathy Randele is his wife.
Thomas Randele, also known as Theodore John Conrad, has been identified as a Massachusetts resident who committed a crime decades ago and fled to the Bay State.
He was wanted for one of Ohio’s most notorious bank robberies and has been featured on “America’s Most Wanted” and “Unsolved Mysteries,” but the case was unsolved until recently.
When the police investigated the matter, they discovered that he worked as a teller at the Society National Bank in Cleveland and was inspired by the movie “The Thomas Crown Affair,” which featured bank robberies. They had lived in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, since 1970, close to the filming area.
His fictitious name was Theodore John Conrad, which he used while working as a bank teller.
He left his employment on July 11th, 1969, with a paper bag holding $125,000.
More than $1.7 million has been spent on the project.
Feds say they have just solved a decades-old bank robbery involving an “unassuming” man from Lynnfield, inspired by a Steve McQueen movie. https://t.co/lEUi1KtsOu
