Following the news, the nerve agent was similar to the one exposed to Sergei Skripal, a Russian double agent, and his child, Yulia. Additionally, Alexei faces sentenced to prison with a conviction of a crime.

Putin Critic Poisoning Incident And Assassination Attempt On Alexei Navalny
Alexei Navalny released the 98-min documentary on the poisoning incident and assassination attempt against him. However, the anti-corruption activist was sentenced to prison for nine years on the charge of fraud.
Following Navalny’s sentencing, President Vladimir Putin criticized the activist for his guilt of fraud.
Moreover, as per CNN, Putin confirmed the FSB agents tailing the activist and stated that if Russia wanted Alexei dead, “they would’ve probably finished it.”
Alexei denied the charges against him and added that “Mr. Putin is afraid of the truth on his Twitter account.”

Where Is Alexei Navalny Now In 2022?
Alexei Navalny is now facing a jail sentence for the charges against him in 2022. He was already facing a prison sentence of more than two years, while he received additional nine years in jail.
Navalny is facing charges of fraud for embezzling the Foundation donations money. He is known to get held in the IK-2 penal colony.
However, Alexei was listed as a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International. It considers his sentencing to political beliefs and not due to other possible accusations.
