Denise Gough is an Irish actress with a high net worth who has worked in film, television, and theater.

Denise Gough won the Milton Shulman Award for Outstanding Newcomer at the 2012 Evening Standard Theatre Awards for her roles in Nancy Harris’ Our New Girl at the Bush Theatre and Eugene O’Neill’s Desire Under the Elms at the Lyric Hammersmith.

Gough starred as Julia in The Duchess of Malfi, which premiered at London’s Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in January 2014.

She then returned to People, Places & Things for its New York move. In February 2018, Denise reprised her role as Harper in the Broadway adaptation of the National Theatre’s Angels in America, joining the majority of the London cast.

Denise Gough was born on February 28, 1980, to parents in Ennis, County Clare, and is now 42 years old.

Gough was born to an electrical father who subsequently became a fisheries specialist and a mother who “was pregnant for nine and a half years” while Gough is the seventh of twelve children, her younger sister Kelly is also an actor.

Falling out of Love, written by John Breen and directed by Mikel Murfi, was Kelly’s first professional acting performance.

In addition, Kelly has appeared in the feature films Kill Command and Out of Innocence. Cry Rosa and Taking Stock are two short films in which Kelly was nominated for Best Actor in a Female Role at the Richard Harris International Film Festival.

Denise studied as a soprano before moving to London at the age of 15. Denise received a grant at the age of 18 to study at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) in Wandsworth, where she graduated in 2003.
