A group of people went to court and filed a private case, alleging that the land was intended for gazetted officers and that, according to a 1951 government resolution, the land was designated for commercial purposes and could not be transferred to any private person.
“The land in Shivajinagar where the ABIL office is located belonged to Mohite’s grandfather, who was gazetted officer who obtained the land for residential purposes,” claimed Rajesh Bajaj, one of the complainants who attended the court and filed a private case.
