Rita Chatterton Now: Mario Mancini Backs Allegations Against Vince McMahon – Now that Leonard Inzitari has recently recalled and discussed the incident, Rita Chatterton can use that evidence to support her accusation of sexual assault against Vince McMahon.
The first female referee in WWE and then WWF is Rita Chatterton. She publicly accused the iron-willed owner of the WWF, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, of raping her in the summer of 1986 in 1992. However, no charges were brought against McMahon because the rape statute of limitations had already run its course.
Chatterton’sMany people forgot Chatterton’s story as the time passed but former wrestler Leonard Inzitari recently spoke to Intelligencer about the incident. A few hours before a WWF performance, he discovered Chatterton standing alone near the wrestling ring. She glanced at him and immediately fell into tears.
Let us learn more about Rita Chatterton and look closely at her allegations against Vince McMahon.
Rita Chatterton Now: Mario Mancini Backs Allegations Against Vince McMahon
Rita Chatterton’s long-forgotten allegations against Vince McMahon are now backed up by Mario Mancini, aka Leonard Inzitari.
Chatterton first came out with the allegations in 1992 when The WWF was embroiled in a slew of other controversies, and it was lost in the mix.
She could not register any formal complaint or press charges against Vince because the incident had occurred in the summer of 1986, and the statute of limitation for rape had already expired by the time she came forward.
According to Prowrestling, Rita’s accusations and the incident—along with the many other similar charges against Vince—were gradually forgotten by the public because all the circumstances were in Vince’s favor.
Professional wrestlers Mario Mancini and Leonard Inzitari have now backed up Rita’s claims recently; speaking with Abraham Riesman, he said he remembers the day like yesterday.
He said, “I remember it like it was yesterday; she was a wreck. She was shaking. She was crying.” Although he did not use the word ‘rape,’ he said, Was she taken advantage of? Was she scared to death? Absolutely. Did she wanna do that? Probably not.”
Rita Chatterton: What Happened To Her?
Rita Chatterton was allegedly sexually assaulted by Vince McMahon back in the summer of 1986.
According to Intelligencer, the incident unfolded in Vince’s limousine. He first wanted Rita to perform oral sexual activity with him, but she refused.
After the refusal, Vince allegedly forcefully took off Rita’s jeans, pulled her on top of himself, and raped her.
She made her complaint against McMahon on Geraldo Rivera’s television show in 1992 but then vanished from public view. She has not given any interviews about the alleged assault or the pioneering life and career that it has disrupted.
Rita made her latest public appearance in the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame back in 2021, where she received the “Trailblazer Award.” The World Wrestling Federation’s first female referee, Chatterton, was honored by the Hall of Fame.
