DeMarco Morgan is an American television journalist who presently anchors CBS’s weekday morning newscasts, CBS2 News This Morning, on KCBS, CBS’s flagship station on the West Coast.

DeMarco Morgan has volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters, the NAACP, the American Cancer Society, and Sweet Alice Harris, among other organizations.

Demarco Morgan is working as a news reporter and anchor at CBS’s West Coast flagship station, KCBS. 

He began his broadcasting career while pursuing his master’s degree at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, covering the September 11 terrorist attacks. He also spent two years teaching journalism and English at Jackson State University and Milwaukee Area Technical College.

He got his first reporting position after college at CBS station WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi. He decided to join ABC affiliate WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2004 and co-anchored for three years with Portia Young.

He became an anchor and reporter for NBC station WTVJ in Miami in 2007. He joined NBC’s flagship station in New York, WNBC, as a weekend anchor and a cut-in anchor for MSNBC in December 2008.

Morgan joined WXIA, Atlanta’s NBC affiliate, in January 2012, where he co-anchored the 6 p.m. newscast with Brenda Wood on weeknights and reported for the 11 p.m. weekly show.

He also taught journalism seminars at Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University while in Atlanta. Morgan departed WXIA in October 2015 to work as a correspondent for CBS News.
