Jaylin Brazier Detroit Mi Arrested – What Did He Do? Bio And Update Of Zion Foster Cousin

Jaylin Brazier of Detroit is the 23 years old cousin of Zion Foster, a missing Michigan teenager. He was arrested for lying to a peace officer in the investigation into Zion Foster’s disappearance.

Zion Foster’s mother Milton, stated that Brazier assisted in the distribution of fliers and provided emotional support during the early stages of the disappearance.

Brazier was then arrested several weeks later after he told her, Zion is dead after she has been missing since January 5. “He said my baby had just died, and then he threw her in a dumpster as if she were trash,” Milton explained.

Milton finds it difficult to accept because he’s lied from the start.

He pleaded no contest to lying to police about the disappearance of his cousin, an Eastpointe teen, on Wednesday.

A no-contest plea, which means he did not admit or deny the charge of lying to the police. But it has the same practical effect as a guilty plea.

Jaylin Brazier pleaded guilty in Macomb County Circuit Court to lying to police during a violent crime investigation. Also to lying to police during a felony investigation, both of which are punishable by up to two and four years in prison, respectively.

According to Steve Fox, Assistant Macomb Prosecutor, his office will seek the maximum penalty for Brazier.

Jaylin Brazier was arrested after he turned himself to the police at a local precinct. He is currently in jail and Judge Edward Servitto has scheduled a sentencing hearing for March 30. 

He surrendered just hours after the Detroit Police Department announced they were looking for him in the disappearance of Zion Foster.

Foster, 17, went missing on 5 January. According to WDIV-TV in Detroit, Foster was last seen on 4 January at her home in Eastpointe before leaving with Brazier. 

Milton told FOX 2 last week that her daughter was picked up by a cousin, Jaylin Brazier, to hang out at a home on Detroit’s west side, which they did frequently.

But she never arrived.

The investigation, according to Detroit police, is not over.

“The investigation is still ongoing, and we ask that anyone with information come forward,” they said. “We are working day and night with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.”

Some of the messages’ screenshots have been leaked on Facebook. Furthermore, a neighbor/neighbor camera captured Jaylin and his girlfriend carrying what appeared to be a rolled-up rug out of their home.
