Samantha Boardman is Michelle Carter’s high school friend who has been imprisoned for causing the suicide of her then-boyfriend Conrad Roy III. Learn more about the couple.
According to some reports, Samantha Boardman and Michelle Carter formed a fantastic friendship through a series of texts shared between them and talking about random topics such as eating disorders.
Conrad Roy III was a teen who struggled with mental illness and attempted suicide several times.
Conrad was found dead in his Ford 250 pickup truck and the death cause was suffocation via inhaling lethal carbon monoxide.
He was found on July 13, 2014, outside the KMart store in Fairhaven.
But a series of text messages and quirky confessions shared by Carter with her then friend Samantha led to her conviction for involuntary manslaughter.
Although judges and case experts are still advocating the case by stating that “suicide was done” and “Carter’s role was not provocation”, “Conrad had a choice, it was his decision”, the case still has twisted ends.
Who Is Samantha Boardman?
Samantha Boardman was the school friend of convicted teen Michelle Carter who, as per Samantha’s report, urged her own boyfriend Conrad to get into the Ford vehicle and finish the work he sat there to do.
When Conrad turned on the generator and the CO poisoning was working, he texted Carter about “it’s working” and Carter did too less to help him out, she somewhat asked him to get in it.

Samantha shared all those texts messages shared between heh and Carter and this led to much evidence against Michelle.
Carter was convicted of involuntary manslaughter while her defense attorneys advocated saying that it was suicide and was all Conrad’s choice, Carter couldn’t have done anything.

Michelle Carter texted her good friend Samantha Boardman about the way Conrad talked at the time of his death.
She stated that she knew Conrad brought a generator and asked Samantha if there is any way one can kill oneself using a generator and some tools.

Carter was charged as a youth when she was brought to court for her crimes but she was still a minor when it took place.
