Kelsey was a sixth-grader at Hillsboro Intermediate School in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was the first chair flute player in the band. She was fascinated by nature and enjoyed drawing and painting.

Likewise, she was a people person who always had a positive attitude toward life. She was a very outgoing person who always followed her course in life.

Kelsey was a person who left an indelible effect on everyone she met. She was a member of Hillsboro’s Central Baptist Church.

Leeanne, a Girl Scout, honor roll student, and member of the band, were found dead inside the abandoned house at 215 U.S. Highway 77 in rural Hill County.

Kiersten Leigh was clinging to life as best she could. Lyon claimed she was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas by a medical chopper and immediately underwent surgery.

According to Lyon, she remained in intensive care on Monday but was in stable condition and expected to survive. Kelsey’s funeral arrangements were still being finalized.

Authorities said the girls were thrilled to get into the car with their mother and find out what her surprise was after saying their goodbyes to their father.

Both children were discovered bloodied in the toilet of a vast, abandoned ranch house three hours later.

They had their throats cut. Hill County Sheriff Jeffrey T. Lyon described the scene as “horrific,” his voice shaking.

In addition to that, Lyon said their mother dialed 9-1-1 just after 9 p.m. and informed dispatchers that she had just slain her two daughters.

Deputies arrived to discover Jeter, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 195 pounds, holding a cell phone with both hands in the air. Lyon discovered a knife on the roof of an adjacent automobile.

Kelsey Leanne Jeter was 12 years old at the time of her death.
