Actress Zenobia Shroff is an acclaimed writer, artist, dancer, and actress from Mumbai, India.

For over 30 years, the skilled Bharat Natyam dancer and ketch comedy artist Shroff has worked in the entertainment industry. She began her career as an actress in Mumbai, where she was mentored by the great stage artist and director, the late Pearl Padamsee.

Zenobia is now in the spotlight for her portrayal as Muneeba Khan in the MCU miniseries Ms. Marvel, whose first season was recently released on June 8, 2022.

In July 2019, her parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and inherited her a Middle Eastern American ancestry. She belongs to different ethnic background and was raised with the utmost love from her parents.

She has a younger sister named Amy Shroff, who lives in Wayland, Massachusetts, and voluntarily works as a veterinarian at Elephant Nature Park. Moreover, her sister also works at Wellesley Animal Hospital. Zenobia is very attached to her sister.

After Kamala discovers her superpower, Zenobia or Muneeba in the series, along with her on-screen husband Mohan Kapoor, plays an important role in the story.

The series introducing several non-Americans is created by Bisha K. Ali and has received great reviews.

Zenobia has been an actor for over thirty years. She began her career in Mumbai under the tutelage of the late Pearl Padamsee, a famed Indian theatre and stage actor, director, and producer.

Leaving her South Bombay home, Shroff arrived in the United States to pursue her dreams with just $500 and a six-month visa. She studied acting at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York. Likewise, Shroff has a Master’s degree in Psychology.

Zenobia soon began portraying the role for various parts in different plays, such as Nora in Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” and German avant-gardist Heiner Muller.

Having a huge teaching experience in India, she taught many students drama and acting. Furthermore, she is an experienced Bharat Natyam dancer and an expert in sketch comedy.

One of her huge achievements includes her acting in Sooni Taraporevala’s “Little Zizou” for which she was also nominated for best actress at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Not only that but Shroff has quite a list of prominent roles in both Bollywood and Hollywood films, for instance, Percy (1989), The Big Sick (2017), Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (2012), and When Harry Tries To Marry (2011).

Shroff was honored with a nomination for best actress at the Planet Connection theatre festival. She received this nomination for her critically acclaimed one-woman performance in “HOW TO SUCCEED AS AN ETHNICALLY AMBIGUOUS ACTOR.”
