Jake Sivner did not die. It was Aiden Nevarez who passed away recently in Mexico.
Aiden’s parents, Matias and Sayra Nevarez, were informed of their son’s death by the consulate shortly after the accident.

The 18-year-old was majoring in financial planning and is said to have a ‘very bright future.’ His friends described the accident area as a short, pony wall. They said that palm trees were resembling short bushes covered the other side of the border, disguising the 20-foot drop.
One of Aiden’s friends, Jake Reithinger, 19, who was with him in Cabo, said that it almost looked like a shrub or bush, and the little wall there was about knee height.
