According to Sheriff’s officials, a car driven by a 50-year-old Hager City, Wis., man crossed the center line and collided with an SUV driven by a 68-year-old Buffalo Gap, S.D., woman shortly before noon Saturday in Welch Township.

Investigators got a court order to get a DNA sample from Matter, and BCA forensic specialists used Rapid DNA technology to confirm the match to both children.
Matter was taken into arrest by Goodhue County deputies and BCA agents at her Belvidere Township residence without incident at 6:38 a.m. Monday, 9 May 2022.
Second-degree murder with intent, not premeditated; a second-degree murder without intent has been charged in the complaint.
The case is presently being held in the Goodhue County Jail, with a hearing scheduled for Tuesday in Goodhue County District Court.
